Two Ingredient Yeast Bread

This bread is so good and so easy and so cheap, you may never buy store bought again.

Ingredients:

3- cups self-rising flour

1- yellow packet Fleischmann's dry yeast

1 1/2- cup of 130° water, warm, not hot

Put the flour in a mixing bowl

Add packet of yeast

Add water

Mix well, do not over mix or it gets tough

Scrape the edges and sort of form a ball with the dough. cover and let rise for two to six hours.

Preheat oven to 375°. Please a dutch oven with the lid on in the oven while it is preheating. When the oven is preheated, line the dutch oven with parchment paper. Remove the dough from the bowl and place into dutch oven, cover and bake for 30 minutes. At the end of 30 minutes, remove lid and back for an additional 15 minutes.

Remove from the over and immediately place on a cooling rack. Wait 10 minutes to cool/set before you cut it.

It looks amazing, it smells better, the whole house smells like fresh bread.

After the 10 minute cool off period:

To make it crispy crust, just leave it exposed to the air, wrap in brown paper. To make it soft crust, brush with butter or olive oil and wrap tightly with a quality cling wrap to keep the air out. Either way is your personal preference.

Flavor it up: Do this step before you add water and blend every thing well.

I love to add jest and flavor to breads. So can you, add the spices you love, like:

Fresh or dry basil, oregano, thyme, or an Italian spice blend. I have used the "everything bagel" blends also with great results.
